A parade led by samba drummers leads the colourful procession along the Seafront, and we can capture the party atmosphere and follow along to South Parade Pier. The costumes, flags, and decorations provide a colourful palette and the relaxed and inclusive atmosphere will allow us to capture genuine moments of connection and emotion. With its dynamic energy and diverse stories, a Pride march offers endless opportunities for creative and impactful street photography.
Capturing the Spirit of D-Day at Southwick Village

You'll have the chance to photograph people in authentic 1940s dress, military and vintage vehicles, and a lively market and funfair. If you don't have a macro lens we can use other techniques to explore details and the world in miniature. Smartphone shooters will also be able to capture great images!

We will also go over settings, focusing techniques and lens choices common to street photography to help us capture those random chance encounters.

Selective colour can be done in a couple of ways. You can find a subject with a strong dominant colour, a lady in red for example amongst people wearing drab colours. Or you can use a mode which some cameras have in which you can isolate a particular colour within a scene whilst all other colours are turned to B W. Either way this will be a session which will help us hunt down images and increase ones 'eye' for strong photographs.
